Shout! Factory's 2012 release documents Waylon Jennings' set at the Steve Wozniak-organized U.S. Festival, a festival known primarily for being the one big American-based festival in the early ‘80s. The music was notoriously uneven and Waylon had one of the rockier sets of the festival, sounding a little broke down and busted, qualities not enhanced by the rough fidelity of the CD/DVD set. At the time this was recorded, Waylon was on the downswing and that's the way he sounds, like he's just holding onto the past glories and has yet to find a way to get himself back in the game.
