This is a right medley of very well-constructed instrumental tracks, compositions, and covers. Not only that, but the songs are the best of each kind. The instrumentals climax with "Solaria," which has something of a groovy minimalist Bowie's "I'm Afraid of Americans," while both covers of the album are simply great. One is changing Shellac's "Prayer to God" into a tortured acoustic ballad, while the White Shark's cover is eventually close to the Stars at My Desk's own composition style. The other songs of Lets Not Say We Did are lo-fi folk-rock pieces, mainly vocals accompanied by an acoustic guitar, and the hit single of the tape, "Angry Again" (that will be on the split Steak From Delta/The Stars at My Desk), is reminiscent of what Guided by Voices did at their best.
