AllMusic Review by

Elba Ramalho is a northeastern pop singer who came out in the 80's interpreting MPB and pop songs. In this more recent release, propelled by the current wave of commercial revalorization of northeastern culture in the richer southeast, she felt secure for trying an album with pure acoustic northeastern grooves with less world influences - represented here by some pop compositions like "Chão de giz," the lyrics and sitar of "Béradêro," the entirely disposable romantic pop renditions for the songs "Parceiro das delícias," "A paisagem," "Sim foi você" and the boring drum machines in "Estrela miúda." The rest of the album is truly respectful for the best swinging tradition of northeast, where she deliciously covers classics by Jackson do Pandeiro, Luiz Gonzaga, Dorival Caymmi and other geniuses. Deserves mention the medley of frevos "Frevos." This album doesn't bring her most representative hits, but is nevertheless one of her best and most sincere releases.
