AllMusic Review by

A reissue of their 1976 Nashboro album that's absolutely dreamy on CD. Skip Mahoaney & the Casuals was a well-kept secret, few outside of Washington, D.C., knew of them or their vocal prowess. They didn't light up the charts, and most of their airplay emanated from the D.C./Baltimore area; if raised outside the District and its surrounding areas, you probably never heard or saw Skip Mahoaney & the Casuals. Mahoaney sung in a sweet falsetto reminiscent of area artists like the Whatnauts, the Vandals, and Frankie Karl & the Dreams. The killer tracks include "Land of Love," "Bless My Soul," "I Love You," and "Running Away From Love."
