At first, it's questionable as to whether or not the word "gentleman" in the title of Taylor Savvy's debut was meant to be plural. Upon listening to a few tracks on this ambitious debut, it's clear that it was intentional, and that Savvy wants to be that gracious gentleman surrounded by ladies. Just take a line from the song "Ladies," for example: "ladies are all that I think about." Sometimes he steps over the line of decency with his lyrics, however, like in the lewd "She's Got It" and "Boys & Girls" (which features the equally erotic Peaches on vocals). Otherwise, it's easy to ignore the lyrics long enough to have a good time with Savvy's disco synth anthems. Ladies & Gentleman is a solid, non-stop dance party that glorifies love, sex, and, well, partying.
