His first release since leaving the Tôt ou Tard label for PIAS, French-Portuguese singer/songwriter Emmanuel Da Silva's fourth studio album, La Distance, eschews his trademark acoustic Gallic folk-pop in favor of a more atmospheric synth-based sound produced by Yann Arnaud (Air, Syd Matters). The follow-up to 2009's La Tendresse des Fous features 12 tracks showcasing his unique reflections on everyday life, including the single "Les Stations Balnéaires."
