The Giants of Jazz label consistently released well-recorded LPs of Benny Goodman radio appearances. This one is no exception, giving one a rare (if brief) glance at BG's unrecorded big band of 1944 with trumpeter Roy Eldridge, along with more extended performances by Goodman's orchestra (which featured trombonist Lou McGarity and a young Stan Getz on tenor) and quintet in January 1946. The vocals of Art Lund and Liz Morrow do not hurt either. Fine swing from the tail-end of the swing era by its King.
