AllMusic Review by

Sinitambi Lorrain Sartana, better known simply as Sartana, hails from Guadeloupe and has been quoted as saying, "An evening is not complete without champagne and some Sartana." His nasal voice and distinctive brand of zouk have brought him a loyal following amongst zouk aficionados. His style is languid and sensual, but he can also generate lots of drive from the crucible of Antillean swing. Sartana has written all of the material on this album and is known for the sarcastic sting in his lyrics. This album, although short at 29 minutes with no filler, gives you your money's worth. The swing factor here is quite high and jaunty. After a few listens, one comes to feel that along with champagne, some Sartana is just what one needs for an evening of dancing and romancing. It's not all bragging on his part. Highly recommended as a good introduction.
