AllMusic Review by

This album from JVC really does appear to be a catalog of the label's other world music albums that were on the market at the time of its release. Two-minute sound bites represent music from Bulgaria, Africa, India, China, and more; there are 40 tracks on the album and only two of them break the two-and-a-half-minute barrier. The liner notes are entirely useless for information, simply providing short descriptions of the albums that the works come from, without any mention of what an individual song is, who the performers are, etc. Despite such problems, this is a mildly enjoyable album, with the main downfall being the scant coverage of Indian and Pakistani classical music pieces, which were cut considerably in length to fit in here. Pick this up as a sampler if you want, but a better course of action would be to find region-specific albums, either from JVC or other labels.
