AllMusic Review by

The second of three volumes covering British bandleader Jack Jackson's recorded output, this one collects sides cut between December 1934 and May 1938. Refined and safe, and soothing to a fault, these tracks don't ruffle any feathers and the smooth pleasantness continually on display here can get a bit numbing. Among the highlights are "Turning the Town Upside Down," with a solid vocal by Jackie Hunter, and "The Wheel of the Wagon Is Broken," a faux cowboy ballad sung with such seriousness by Fred Latham that it rises into the realm of the accidentally infectious.
