This brief five-song EP serves as yet another delicious taste of songwriter/producer Richard Rebarber's Floating Opera project. After an unfortunately long sabbatical, fans of Everybody's Somebody's Monster (a simply wonderful release) might be a bit disappointed to see the group return with only five songs, but you really can't complain about the music's quality. These songs stand against nearly anything on Everybody's Somebody's Monster. Here Rebarber collaborates with Charles Lieurance on the lyrics, which again get beautifully sung by Lori Allison (Millions) and Heidi Ore (Mercy Rule). In fact, Allison proves to be the most impressive artist on this album, handling the lead vocals on four of the five songs, and singing background vocals on all five. After hearing this release, you'll wish Rebarber could find more time to record his music; a few songs every few years just isn't enough when the music is this well crafted.
