While it's not immediately clear if the Stench brothers played on this one, it sounds likely, given the sharp bass/drum action prevalent. The two tracks on the single are Chrome at its most relatively accessible -- certainly lead track "Danger Zone" (thankfully nothing to do with the Kenny Loggins atrocity of later years) has an initially interpretable verse and chorus and catchy music. When things float into a combination of guitar drone, distorted vocals and general mood a couple of minutes in, though, clearly the key spirit of Chrome isn't far off. Creed gets to rip along as always, getting in some fine squalling at the end, while Edge creates some of his best keyboard work yet. "In a Dream" matches the A-side reasonably enough, with perhaps a more accessible modern rock bite to it and some fine drumming to boot. Vocals are heavily treated as always, but for Chrome, this song is downright anthemic.
