Puola is a difficult case. The band is awfully humorous, and therefore of no interest to the serious-minded listener. And since the group also doesn't have its own distinctive style, Puola's fan base just keep decreasing. But behind its lack of seriousness, there is a very creative and talented group that plays uncompromising music. Invisible Sightseeing is a great addition to Puola's catalog of numerous self-releases, and it seems to reflect a few decisions that the group has made about its style. This might be due to producer Janne Kaipainen (better known as Dr. Robotnik of Rikos Records fame), whose talent can be heard throughout Invisible Sightseeing. Puola's overall concept still remains, though, and that's the beauty of the band's music. Invisible Sightseeing is utterly funny, but challenging at the very same time. A nice addition to Rikos' great catalog.
