The ever-prolific Michel Huygen has returned. His re-releases on CD over the last couple of years have rivaled the output of Tangerine Dream. Quality and style have shifted quite a bit too. Intimo is a beautiful album. There are eight tracks with deep emotional depth and feeling. This is one of his most introspective albums with titles to match: "Tenderness," "The Light Being," "Remoteness," "Vital Breath," and "Infinite Tenderness." The first and last titles are variations of one song. One track in particular, "When I Stop The Time," is interesting with it's long length of 15:34 and it's sound is heavily influenced by Constance Demby's music. Both artists were seen together at the 1990 New Age Music convention in Los Angeles. Michel Huygen is changing his music. Most of the tracks on this album have short lengths which is more ideal for the US market. Interested buyers should be happy to know that most, if not all of Mr. Huygen's releases on CD are available from Coriolis. This album is an excellent companion to any electronic music collection.
