The H.I.M. Orchestra is very eclectic, bringing reggae, soul, pop, and rock into their fold. In "The Lion's Theme" they work effectively as a Jamaican-sounding Laibach. The reggae-soul of "I Wish It Would Rain" is strangely successful too. More Temptations are included in a lo-fi, unlisted bonus track of David Ruffin and Stevie Wonder. Then there's the awkward combination of ballad pop ("I Won't Let You Go") and blues ("Roaring Blues"). Together, this makes for a not-so-cohesive album that offers islands of unique success.
