After a break following the short career of her former band Lil' Combo, Zeek Sheck came back to music with the experimental album I Love You. Drummer and singer in her new project, she also, thanks to a paraplegic tongue controller launches, sounds recorded on a computer. Queer, disturbing, ultimately bizarre, Sheck creates tunes out of the chaos and explodes simple melodies: She literally atomizes musical standards. Listening to I Love You is quite an experience and it requires all attention. Anyhow, aggressive, dissonant sounds here and there make it impossible to listen the album while doing something else: For if you do so, it will quickly get on your nerves. But if you like beautiful, brutalized, distorted songs of the innovative kind and are fond of experimental music, this is for you.
