AllMusic Review by

When people who don't like grindcore (or, just as likely, are frightened by it) talk about grindcore, Gaza's debut album is exactly what they think it all sounds like. These ten genuinely brutal songs are hyper-aggressive onslaughts of pile-driving riffs, hoarsely screamed vocals, and drumming that even Keith Moon would find a little over the top. The death growl vocals make the lyrics unintelligible, not that one expects many surprises from song titles like "Hospital Fat Bags," "Slutmaker," and "Pork Finder," but an overall sense of menace is pervasive all through I Don't Care Where I Go When I Die, precisely because it's nowhere near as cartoony and garish in its "evil" as outlandish bands like Cannibal Corpse and their followers. In the right mood, this record could sound genuinely scary in a way that many grindcore bands would never be able to manage. Mission accomplished, then.
