AllMusic Review by

After releasing five albums in just over three years, disJam apparently took a bit more time to record, and the result is easily their best album yet. Hybrid Honey is filled with accomplished groove music tied to disco and jazz-funk, with plenty of post-production tactics to add to the keyboards, guitar, bass, and percussion that comprise most tracks. The album is divided in half -- the first side is subtitled "Day," the second "Night"; so the more uptempo songs appear early on, while mellow grooves and atmospheric synth take over for the end. Hybrid Honey proves not only that disJam have mastery over their instruments, but that they also have dozens of intriguing ideas to drive the musicianship.
