Melancholy and brooding are two words that are synonymous with singer/songwriter T.W. Walsh. A lot of How We Spend Our Days consists of just Walsh, a guitar, and some background noise to go along with his down and out moments. Dinosaur Jr. and Built to Spill are his influences (the latter mostly being in the vocals). Not bad even if this crosses over the lines of "bland alternative" at times.
