If you don't strike gold and score a copy of the 11-disc House of Hits box set, which went out of print almost immediately after its 1990 release, there's still a slight chance that you'll be able to scoop up the volumes individually. Altogether, House of Hits is a phenomenal series, tracing the history of house music through its first several years. Each volume on its own is nothing to sniff at, so they ought to be snapped up immediately whenever they're seen. The second volume continues the emphasis on Chicago, featuring Masters C&J's "Dub Love," Jungle Wonz' "The Jungle," Fast Eddie's "Jack the House," Virgo's "RU Hot Enough," and Adonis' "We're Rocking Down the House."
