The second of two albums cut on one day in 1976 is the equal of the first. Trumpeter Harry "Sweets" Edison and tenor saxophonist Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis, although having different approaches, always seemed to bring out the best in each other. With pianist Kenny Drew, bassist Hugo Rasmussen and drummer Svend Erik Norregaard forming a supportive trio and trombonist John Darville guesting on two of the six numbers, this is a well-rounded set. Sweets has a duet with bassist Rasmussen on "There Is No Greater Love," Lockjaw takes "You Are Too Beautiful" as his ballad feature and there are four jams of which this version of "Candy" is a near-classic. Recommended.
