Ceremony sounds like Wilson Phillips with a calculated psych-rock edge. The Beatles lifts are transparently obvious. Hang On To Your Poetry is pleasant, accessible, well-produced ear-candy that's ultimately toothless. Song titles like "Goodbye Sunshine," "Living In A Paradise," and the nouveau-hippie photo poses on the back cover should be warning enough.
