AllMusic Review by

Groove 2002 features a variety of 2001's most popular dance tracks, most of them from Europe and most of them fairly commercial. The album plays much like a Ministry of Sound compilation, focusing more on cramming as many popular songs as possible onto the disc than on mixing or consistency. Some of the highlights include Eddie Amador's "Rise," Carl Cox's "The Latin Theme," Mario Piu and Mauro Picotto's "Arabian Pleasure," Picotto's "Like This Like That," Chili HiFly's "It's Alright," and Members of Mayday's "10 in 01." Overall, not that many highlights for a double-disc album supposedly filled with highlights.
