AllMusic Review by

Gregorian chants originated between the 9th and 10th century in the Loire Valley region of France. These chants bear witness to the faith, the music, and the artistic culture of The Benedictine monks of the Middle Ages. It is also a modern chant, still studied in conservatories and sung by the monks today. This record is not only a masterpiece of vocal and technical expertise, but also represents the spiritual expression of the Benedictine monks of the Abbey at Ganagobie. This abbey is situated in Provence, France, and continues to be one of the most important spiritual centers in Europe today.
