AllMusic Review by

The first disc of Greatest Hits with a Twist, released by X-Ray through Cleopatra (about as distanced from Def Jam as it gets), contains re-recordings of choice tracks from DMX’s back catalog. DMX tends to sound duly ferocious, and the productions mimic the originals with surprising accuracy, but there is no reason to prefer any of them over the originals. The second disc features those tracks in remixed form -- a “Dubstep Club Remix” of “What’s My Name?” that sounds nothing like dubstep, a neo-Hi-NRG mix of “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem,” and so forth. This is useful only for the sake of grim curiosity.
