AllMusic Review by

The cover photo of a young and virile Mark Lindsay on the cover of Eclipse's Paul Revere & the Raiders' Greatest Hits is misleading. So is the name of the group credited. What you find if you are unlucky enough to buy this disc thinking that you were getting the actual hit versions of the Raiders' hits are re-recordings done by Mark Lindsay. They were done at a point in time where Lindsay wasn't in great voice, maybe in the '90s judging from the sound of the drums. Speaking of the drums, they sound bad. All the music does. It sounds like karaoke versions of "Good Thing," "Kicks" and "Just Like Me" with an enthusiastic lawyer or accountant on vocals. Karaoke or a mediocre bar band maybe. Heck, either way it isn't Paul Revere and it isn't the Raiders and it isn't very good. It is embarrassing.
