AllMusic Review by

KRB's recklessly titled Electric Flag album Great Hits is a muffled collection of recordings that does nothing to add to the band's reputation. The album shows nothing more than a list of songs, affording no information about the source of the tracks. The track called "I Should Have Left Her" is actually "Killin' Floor." The opening track, "It's Not the Spotlight," is a song written by Gerry Goffin and the Electric Flag's Barry Goldberg that first turned up on recordings in the early '70s (on Goldberg's self-titled 1972 LP and Bobby "Blue" Bland's His California Album in 1973), suggesting that this recording was made by the 1970s reunion version of the Electric Flag, not the original- '60s lineup. There is some good playing here and there, but the release is shoddy, and only completists should consider seeking it out. [To add insult to injury, these same recordings have been issued several times under different titles, notably "Groovin' Is Easy," "Small Town Blues," "I Found Out," and "The Electric Flag: Live."]
