By now, Vishal-Shekhar fully understood the inner workings of Bollywood music composing -- provide them with a film genre and the situational aspect of a song and they would come up with the most fitting and instantly noticeable composition, if not the most inventive. And that works very well for everyone involved. At this point in their career, Vishal-Shekhar had started composing for a larger portfolio of films, employing musicians renowned throughout the industry. Moreover, they began churning out hit albums regularly, which guaranteed constant work and put them in the league of top contemporary music composers in Mumbai. With Golmaal, the duo delivered its first hit score for a comedy film, promising a youthful peppy feel. The score doesn't try to be overtly inventive, yet brings to the foreground a sound appropriate to this genre of filmmaking. The title song has hip-hop-styled groovy beats, and with some remixes thrown in, the album as a whole has a frisky sound that definitely enticed its audience.
