Going to the GoGo Review

by Andrew Hamilton

A rockin' disc of 20 classic Northern Soul stompers that will have you doing the Monkey, the Boogaloo, the Funky Four Corners, Mr. Penguin, the Errol Flynn, and other '60s dances. The songs come from an assortment of Northern Soul favorites including Jackie Lee, J. J. Barnes, the Olympics, Darrell Banks, Lee Rogers, and Bobby Womack. The disc also contains Rose Batiste's rare and only release on Ric Tic Records, titled "Hit and Run," and the Sharonettes' remake of the Rivingtons' "Papa Oom Mow Mow."
