AllMusic Review by

The Harrison label specializes in reissues of obscure but very worthwhile performances of hot dance and jazz bands from the 1925-35 period; they released around 25 LPs in the mid-to-late '70s. For this album, Harrison really got obscure by including two selections from Pat Dollohan's Orchestra, three songs by The Harris Brothers' Texans, two from The High Steppers and seven by Henny Hendrickson's Louisville Serenaders. Although the condition varies (a few of the numbers are test pressings), the dance music is generally quite enjoyable; '20s collectors will not hesitate to get this one if they are fortunate enough to see it.
