Pennsylvania's Anthrophobia offers a quick glimpse into their angst- and caffeine-driven world of punchy punk metal on this six-song EP. Combining the idealism of hardcore with the execution of heavy metal, Anthrophobia is punishing and intelligent at the same time. Their ideas are better developed on the full-length follow-up, Pulse, but there are some good moments here, including the anthemic "Empty."
