AllMusic Review by

This LP from the collectors' label IAJRC has radio transciptions and broadcasts from four separate big bands: Duke Ellington's 1945-46 Orchestra, Chick Webb's 1936 Big Band, Jack Teagarden's short-lived orchestra (from 1940) and Bunny Berigan's 1938 group. In general the swing-based music is well-recorded and there are plenty of highlights with only two vocals (one apiece by Teagarden and Ella Fitgerald) and many fine solos, particularly from Teagarden and Berigan. It's recommended to swing fans who are advised to check out the IAJRC label in general.
