One assumes, listening to this CD, that the music was originally designed as background music. Other than a few sparks provided by Alan Palmer on tenor and soprano, the music never gives one a reason to listen closely. The light grooves, strong musicianship, and pleasant but forgettable melodies would make this disc fine as a background for some other activity, but it does not reward close listening. Guitarist John Anello Jr. is capable of more inspiring music.
