Like its predecessor, Summer Solstice, Fall of My Dreams is a lovely, graceful collection of contemporary instrumental music that fuses bluegrass, jazz, new age, folk, and country. Although Hanzlik makes no great leap forward on this record, he maintains the excellence of its predecessor, delivering a set of well-written and impeccably performed songs. Hanzlik alone would make the album worthwhile, but his support is equally wonderful, featuring Bela Fleck (banjo), Jerry Douglas (dobro), Tim O'Brien (mandolin), Stuart Duncan (fiddle, mandolin), Scott Vestal (banjo), and Mark Schatz (bass, banjo).
