Experience 7 has made some uneven albums over the years. However, Extreme Tendresse is better than some of the group's previous offerings. Yves Honore and Guy Houllier are veterans of the zouk scene in Guadeloupe and were at one time an integral part of Henri Debs' house band. They are both adept writers of beautiful, lyrical, and rhythmic songs, and on this outing seem to have regained some of that songwriting strength. The title cut is strong, swinging zouk love. The following track is an up-tempo zouk chire -- hard-edged zouk with drive and an insistent lick that is addictive. Although short at just under 35 minutes, this album has some bite to it and the erotic zouk love tracks are not monotonous. Recommended.
