AllMusic Review by

This is a rather "alternative" compilation of Raul Seixas classics, largely omitting the more obvious ones, but including several lesser known yet excellent and very interesting songs such as "Magia Do Amor," "Mata Virgem," "Diamante de Mendigo" and "Negócio É." Only three really well-known tracks are found here, namely "Maluco Beleza" (which became so popular that the song title turned into a pet name for the singer himself), the Utopian "O Dia Em Que a Terra Parou" and a live version of "Rock Das Aranhas." Another highlight, performed together with Marcelo Nova from Camisa de Venus, is "Muita Estrela, Pouca Constelação," a hilarious and snappish comment on media inflated "stars" without any kind of talent or originality. Raul Seixas was always a poet and philosopher as much as a rock star and there are several prime examples of that on this compilation. This is a very good complement for the many basic and predictable Raul Seixas compilations on offer.
