The renowned Orquestra de Câmara de Blumenau performing works by Tom Jobim and Astor Piazzolla. Some may object to the lyrical singing technique in the performance of the simple and soulful melodies by Jobim, which have been interpreted with high technical standards by singers like Vânia Bastos, freed from the Eurocentric emission requisites. On the other hand, the excellent 28-figure chamber orchestra explores nuances impossible to get in smaller groups and is quite capable in the execution of the tango swing. All Jobim tunes are sung, and all Piazzolla pieces are instrumental.
