Paquito Guzmán's third album with LAD (the TH-Rodven subsidiary) may not have the element of variety that made his preceding Dedicado a...Esa Mujer (1980) a mainstream success. Still, there is plenty of enjoyment and a good source of entertainment in this outing. "Sobre Una Tumba, Una Rumba" (composed by Ignacio Piñeiro) and "Zapatero a Su Zapato" (by Ricardo Ceratto) are the better-known pieces of the production. Louis Garcia, probably one of the busiest and most durable arrangers/musical directors of his time, brings the same level of professionalism that he is known for. Another superior recording by the always listenable Guzmán at the top of his game.
