Here is an LP crying to be reissued on CD. Eddie Sauter was Benny Goodman's most advanced arranger. His writing for BG in the early '40s was much more unpredictable than Fletcher Henderson's and often full of surprises and unusual colors. A dozen of Sauter's greatest arrangements (including "Moonlight on the Ganges," "La Rosita," "Superman" and a remarkable reworking of "Love Walked In") are heard on this set and they really challenge Benny Goodman to come up with fresh ideas. A classic album.
