AllMusic Review by

A hilarious concept, this compilation doesn't attempt to educate the doo wop-challenged on the nuances of the style or singing techniques; it's simply a collection of the zaniest doo wop tunes ever recorded. The titles tell the whole story: the Meadowlarks' "Oop-Boopy-Oop," Big Five's "Whop-Ting-A-Ling," the Turbans' "Tick-Tock-Awoo," the Charts' "Zoop," the Martells' "Va-Va-Voom," and the Metronomes' insane "Skitter Skatter." There are 26 silly songs in all, mostly from the '50s, with "Aye-Yai-Yai," a 1972 release by the Inspirations, being the sole exception.
