For the third M record, Maurizio again collaborates with another artist to present two quite different versions of one song. Originally penned by Maurizio, "Domina" was also remixed by Detroit artist Carl Craig for this record and stands as one of the best songs ever written by either of these artists. Maurizio's version of "Domina" foreshadows the sound pursued for the remainder of the M series. The deeper, bass-driven rhythms thump along in a seemingly syncopated fashion for the majority of the piece's duration. The beats are of the lowest frequencies and are more felt than heard, needing a subwoofer to reproduce their deep sound. Just as Underground Resistance offered a mellower and more sensual version of Maurizio's original mix on Ploy, Carl Craig's version of Domina takes away all the pounding extremity of Maurizio's version and replaces it with drifting layers of gentle synthesizer tones and a vocal sample.
