Although three decades into his career by the early 21st century, it was not until this time that everyone's favorite heavy metal bodybuilder, Jon Thor, issued an album under his name (rather than just "Thor") -- 2001's Dogz II. But despite the slightly different billing, the album reflects the same style that Thor has always specialized in -- anthemic heavy metal, which serves as the perfect soundtrack for pumping some serious iron. Tracks such as the album-opening "Deeper Shapes" and "Shout at the World" will give you an instant feeling of "early-'80s metal déjà vu," while the album closes on a truly epic note, with the over 16-minute pairing of "All My Might" and the three-song "ThunderHawk Trilogy."
