This budget LP, which has the wrong titles for at least four of the dozen Django Reinhardt performances, actually contains some worthwhile music. Dating from 1947, the great guitarist is heard with a few versions of his Quintet (featuring either Hubert Rostaing, Maurice Meunier or Gerald Leveque on clarinet) playing mostly his own originals. The recordings show Django coming to grips both with bebop and the electric guitar and are worth hearing even if the LP does not list dates or personnel.
