A horrendous compilation, Disco Fever, released by a label called Direct Source, begins with Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive," ends with an inferior live version of Sister Sledge's "We Are Family," and is stuffed with a random assortment of bona fide disco classics and poor re-recordings. Some songs, such as Billy Paul's "Me and Mrs. Jones" and Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes' "If You Don't Know Me By Now," aren't even disco. To make things even more bizarre and nonsensical, Limahl's "Never Ending Story," which is neither disco nor within the same stylistic ballpark of its surroundings (Limahl being the onetime singer in Kajagoogoo), is stuck in the middle of it all. Who needs this? Nobody.
