Freedom rock at its most apathetic. The A-side is a bluesy protest of farms being torn down for another mini-mall, convenience store, or coffee shop. With this theme, Tom Freund lyrically means well by giving a shout-out to the people who've had to break their backs to make a living. Musically, it doesn't translate as something that screams out for people to go out and make changes; monotone vocals and slow, steady-paced blues will do that. There is a pretty cool version of the Beatles' "Cry Baby Cry" on the B-side, although like most covers, it doesn't come close to the original.
