Teta Lagrimas, who is from Angola, recorded his first single in 1984 in what is now the Congo, formerly Zaire. Delirio No Salao is a mix of Angolan rhythms and Brazilian samba. The highlight of the album is guest vocalist Lura singing "Bate o Corocao" ("Beat of the Heart"), in Creole and in Portuguese on two separate tracks. It is a beautifully melodic and rhythmic samba sung with a lot of soul. Most of the tracks tend to be mid-tempo semba-zouk and are somewhat repetitious. "O Povo So Quer" is the exception. It is an uptempo semba that injects some drive into the album.
