The soprano vocals of Kathleen Roland are here backed by percussion, cello, flute, and piano. This is a sometimes jarring but always very human impressionistic reaction to death. Pieces like "Positive Thinking" and the title track reflect the reaction of those who witnessed an AIDS-related death, while selections such as "Slammin'" for percussion and tape and "Glacius" for solo piano explore, respectively, the continued discovery in life and the quiet peace of death's journey.
