Dandy Jack's second full-length for Atom Heart's Rather Interesting label is in full-on AH mode, all bubbling, colliding electro-jazz rhythms and weird, high-wired electronics. Listeners familiar with DJ's earlier work will be surprised to find a pair of (extremely well-done) experimental ambient tracks at the front, but much of Plastic Woman is experimental electro/techno in the Atom Heart/Black Dog/Mouse On Mars vein, with enough of a unique take to not sound derivative or dedicational. Excellent.
