Memphis veteran rapper Kingpin Skinny Pimp followed his impressive Pimpin' and Hustlin' album and its hit single, "TV's (23's and Wang)," with Da Syndicate, essentially a group effort that he "presents." As with most presented-by rap albums, Skinny Pimp is here to promote his posse, and he does just that, letting his supporting cast shine on most of the dozen tracks, two of which are remixes. There aren't any particularly noteworthy moments on Da Syndicate, as it seems a bit hastily assembled and low-budget relative to the well-crafted Pimpin' and Hustlin', yet it's a fine stopgap release and should thus leave fans contented if not satiated.
