AllMusic Review by

The third LP documenting an all-star CTI concert from 1972 is the weakest of the trio. Tenor-saxophonist Stanley Turrentine is fine on "Funkfathers" and vibist Milt Jackson is featured on "Cherry." But Esther Phillips's two vocals are out of place and turns the music into mundane R&B (although the songs "Cherry Red" and "God Bless the Child" are actually jazz standards). An okay but not particularly memorable set; get Live One from this series instead.
